Banner Marketing - Tips on Making Banner Marketing Most Effective

To make your banner marketing provocative and pushy, consider some tricks. Despite how small such horizontal or vertical, square, rectangular or button featuring banner look, they can boost enormous profits for your online business if invested substantial time in those. Optimize your banners as you opt for optimizing landing pages. These banners are prelude to your landing pages – make sure they conform and convey the style of your website. Therefore, to start seeing your website perform, make your web banner perform desirably.

First of all, if you aim at targeted banner marketing than mass marketing then you will be at win-win position with 2 points over those who plan for the later. For targeted marketing, select a specific banner style that will complement to the website that your targeted visitors will crawl from. Resemblance in your banner and the site creates similar look and feel and produces greater click through rates.

Animated and flash banners appeal more to viewers compared to static banner, so select a GIF or a flash banner to generate greater responses. Apply blinking or some moving techniques to animate your banners and get your visitors moved by it.

When texts contain call for actions or stimulating words like ‘Click Now’, ‘Visit Here’, ‘Act Now’, ‘Free’ etc. the even turns out to be more effective. After all, it is the ‘click through rates’ that determine performance of these banner marketing ads, therefore, use these words generously to get your sites be poured with greater CTR.

Test your banner marketing ad prior to finally publishing it. Keep experimenting during this span by altering and applying various components of the banner to test its strength of bringing greater CTR.

Though the graphic content of the banner must be catchy as it draws attention in the first place, but, keep in mind, a weighty graphic content slows the pace down of loading time of a banner. As numerous sites and banners may display same products or service and target same class of customers like yours, a slowly loaded banner may lose potential number of customers and fall back on visibility.

Last but not least important is to track performance of the banner marketing ad on regular basis. Initial performance of your banner marketing ad may be around 5% CTR and may recede after a few days. Therefore, to have a regular flow of visitors to your site, you must check the CTR of the banner regularly so to identify and change accordingly time to time.

    A temporary fix is to right click it in a browser and disable looping.

    Making an image a link:

    <p><a href="URL path to zipped file" title="Mouseover Description"><img style="width: XXpx; height: YYpx; border: 0;" src="Path to image" alt="Text Description"></a></p>

    You can change the "p" tags to div tags and style as needed.

    Or…

    Between the head tags:

    <style type="text/css">
    #logolink {
    display: block;
    height: 100px;
    width: 200px;
    background-image: url(Path to your header image) no-repeat center scroll;
    }

    #bglink span {
    display: none;
    }
    </style>

    HTML:

    <p><a id="logolink" href="http://whatever" title="Mouseover Description"></a></p><p><a id="bglink" href="#"><span>Click my logo</span></a></p>

    You need to put blank frames on the layers you don't want to show up at different times. So at each frame, clear the frames you don't want to show at that time.
